MOSLEY, Stanley

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our wonderful father. We take some comfort in knowing he is again with his beloved Vera who died in January of this year. They were married for 68 years.

Stan was born in Derbyshire, England in 1919 and died August 12, 2010. He came to Canada in 1927 with his family, who made their home in Didsbury, Alberta. Stan served time in the 2nd WW during which he was overseas for almost three years.

He was posted to Comox with the Air Force in 1954. He and Vera lived in the Comox Valley for almost 50 years and always considered this area their home. The last ten years they spent on the lower mainland close to their sons.

Dad was a wonderful and patient father who earned our respect with his gentleness and his guidance. He was soft spoken, brave and hard working. Everything he did was done for his family.

He will be missed by his six children; daughters; Florence (Jim) Teatreau, Susanne (Chuck) Salmon, Patricia (Jack) Cleveland; sons Ted (Lorna), Jim (Rita) and Andy (Melody), and his 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

We are so proud he was our dad.

A celebration to remember him and say good bye will be held at 1:00 PM, September 25th at Trinity United Church, Port Coquitlam.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
