She is survived by her son, Edward (Barbara) Falk, daughter, Marlene (Randy) MacDonald, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Susan was born in Alexandertal, Russia on October 20, 1916. She came to Canada with her family in 1926 where they settled on a farm near Tugaske, Saskatchewan. Susan was an outdoor person who loved horses and riding. She was sometimes mistaken for a man on horseback by passing neighbors on their farm near Dundurn, Saskatchewan, herding registered Hereford cows. After her first husband John Falk was tragically killed in a farming accident, she moved to Saskatoon with her two young children. She worked briefly at the University Hospital and then moved to Dawson Creek, BC where she married Eric MacGregor. After selling their motel, they moved to Courtenay, BC to be near her daughter and family. Her passion in Courtenay was her love of gardening and landscaping; hauling topsoil in the trunk of the big Oldsmobile.

A tribute to Dr. Bell, Sturgeon Community Hospital and staff for the care and compassion Susan received during her time there. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Susan’s honour may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 10985-124 Street, Edmonton, AB T5M 0H9.Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.memoriesfuneral.com
