A limb has fallen from our family tree. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Terence (Terry) Kelly, a loving husband, father, poppa, brother, uncle, son / brother in law and friend.

Terry is predeceased by his father and mother, Edward and Marjorie Kelly and his mother in law Daisy Runicles.

Terry is survived by his loving wife and best friend Dawn Kelly children Wendy (Jody) Frame, Jenny (Brent) Vachon and grandchildren, Neil Terence, Allison Dawn and Liz Kelly his brother Rick (Betty) Kelly, Wes (Shannon)Kelly and Matt Kelly as well as by his loving four legged companion Maggie and extended family all of whom he loved dearly.

Terry was a strong, wise and courageous man with a wonderful sense of humour. He deeply loved his one and only true love Dawn, he cherished his children and was extremely proud of his grandchildren.

Terry will be remembered for so many things, his kindness and love of family we recognize the most. Terry had a for filling 35 year career in municipal government and a 17 year retirement in which he enjoyed travel, dragon boat paddling, gardening, fishing and volunteering with the Piercy Water Shed and Santa's Workshop. All activities in Terry's life were enjoyed by a loving group of friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Konway and his staff and Dr. Austin and all the fantastic medical staff that they encountered with Terry's brave battle with cancer. To all the friends of Terry and Dawn's a heartfelt thank you for all the love, friendship and support that you have shown the family.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday March 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Comox Valley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry's honour can be made to the Piercy Water Shed and or Santa's Workshop.

The family is so very grateful for all kindness that they are receiving at this very difficult time.

He leaves an amazing legacy for all who were near and dear to him.
