DYCK

Terry (Robert Terrance)

March 14, 1956 - October 21, 2008

It is with a great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Terry Dyck.

Terry leaves behind his loving wife Tracy (Moore) of 32 years, with many wonderful memories. Much loved by his children Samantha and Tyler (Sareh). Remembered by his parents Bob and Juanita from Sechelt and his sisters Cathy (Justin and Amy), JoAnne (Ted, Alanna and Graeme) from Winnipeg and Cindy (Mike) from Victoria. Will be missed by his in-laws Joyce from Tolstoi, Peter (Karen) from Gimli, Debbie (Jim and Corey), Dan, Bill (Shelley and Brendan) from Winnipeg and Maureen from Tolstoi. He will be missed by his many friends, and extended family.

Terry was born in Saskatoon, grew up in Winnipeg, and lived in Courtenay for the past 16 years. Terry loved his family, all sports, coaching the kids through the years, and his pets. Terry’s passions also included motorcycles (“Born to be Wild”, secretly harbouring a desire to be a motor cross star), wood working (from toys to furniture), and a longstanding fascination with puzzles and games.

Terry spent his career in pharmaceutical management, successful because of his easygoing personality and ability to connect with people of all ages. Terry particularly enjoyed the last few years with Comox Fireplace and Patio.

A service will be held at Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation & Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Rd., Courtenay, on Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 2:00 p.m.. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the local S.P.C.A in Terry’s name, would be appreciated.
