Moore, Terry Brent

Aug 20, 1952 - June 28, 2004

Terry Brent Moore passed away in Comox on June 28th, 2004 at the age of 51 years.

Terry was predeceased by his grandparents William and Peggy Moore, his grandparents Stuart and Rosalie Baker and his father Roy Moore. Terry is survived and will be sadly missed by his wife Teri, his mother Betty Moore, his son Nick (Christine) Moore of Courtenay, his son TJ of Courtenay, his stepsons Ben and Sean, his daughter Terra of Courtenay, his sister Lynn of Courtenay, nieces and nephews: Kim, Nathan, Devin and Samantha, cousins Starr, Valerie, Dawn, Cathy and their families. Most of Terry’s working years were spent working for Edgett Contracting and more recently as a pipefitter with the City of Courtenay. Terry loved watching, participating and coaching sports. Most recently golf was his passion and he played until very recently as a member of the Sunnydale Golf Club. The great Canadian Casino benefited from his frequent visits in the past few years. He loved going to the casino in Nanaimo and the “Moore luck” often followed him. Terry’s family and their activities were very important to him. He spent countless hours driving the kids around and hanging around the fields. He was so proud to be a citizen of the Comox Valley. Except for a short stint in Europe and a year in Vancouver he has always called the Comox Valley home. Terry fought an amazing battle with cancer for over 5 years and will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. A special thanks to Dr. Ptak, the City of Courtenay, and Val for all their special help. A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held downstairs at the Florence Filberg Centre, 411 Anderton in Courtenay on Saturday, July 3rd, 2004 from 2pm to 4pm with Starr Winchester officiating. Donations in Terry’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Comox Valley Unit, #102 - 1509 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, B.C. V9N 2K6 with appreciation.
