BRYANT

Velma Rae

January 16, 1936 - August 18, 2009

It is with much love and sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, Velma Rae Bryant.

Mom was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on January 16th, 1936. She married soon after moving to B.C. and started raising her family of five children.

In 1986 Mom and Dad moved to Keremeos where they spent some of their happiest years fulfilling their passion for gardening. They joined the Similkameen Garden Club and formed many special friendships.

Mom was an active member in the local Red Hat Society. She was always busy and liked to volunteer at the OAP and various other events throughout the years, being instrumental in bringing the skateboard park to Keremeos. On August 18th, 2009 surrounded by her family Mom went home to be with the Lord.

Predeceased by her husband Jim on June 6th, 2002. Survived by her brother Wayne; daughters: Debbie (Rick), Dixie (Erich), Linda (Lloyd); sons: Bradley and Calvin (Shirley); 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Mom's life will take place on Saturday, September 5th, 2009 at the Ecumenical Church, 607 - 5th Ave., Keremeos.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
