LEE – VICTOR ALLEN FREDRICK
June 19, 1943 – August 3, 2007
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather in the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria. Vic (Torrey to family) is survived by his wife Gloria, daughter Shaunna (Paul) Kombargi, sons Stewart and Kevin (Paula), grandchildren Cori, Taylor and Haley, siblings Carol (Peter) Kennedy, Doug (Hazel), Janice (Brad) Lowe and Jim (Donna). He enjoyed 33 yrs in the military mostly spent in different aspects of Search and Rescue. He received the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Confederation in 1992 which honoured Canadians who had made a significant contribution to their fellow citizens, to their community or to Canada. Following retirement, as a civilian, he taught computer classes on base, then in 2001, joined Elder College, volunteering as a computer instructor. Vic was a kind, generous and caring man with a great sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by his family and all of those who knew him. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on August 10, 2007, 2:00 pm at the Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Rd, Courtenay, BC.
