Born, raised and lived her entire life in the Comox Valley.
Predeceased by husband David, in 1990, son-in-law George Cochrane and sisters Dorothy Hunt, Beatrice Pattison and May Hitchen.
Survived by son Norman (Robin) Pattison, daughter Myrna Cochrane, grandchildren Shelley (Ralph) Longland, Kevin Cochrane, Steven (Andrea) Cochrane, Dylan (Sofeya) Pattison, Sean (Teresa) Pattison, Barbara (Pat) Clay, 9 great grandchildren and sisters Lillian Lyster and Kay Hurford.
Violet was a long-standing member of Canadian Daughters, St. George’s United Church and Evergreen Seniors where she made many lifelong friendships. She was a talented artist, enjoyed knitting, tending her garden, traveling, and volunteering her time.
The family would like to express their gratitude for dedicated care and compassion shown by Glacier View Lodge staff and Dr. Hunter.
A private family gathering will be taking place.
