August 12, 1955 - October 7, 2022
In loving memory ~
After a lengthy battle with cancer Vivienne passed away at home surrounded by loved ones. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary. Survived by husband of 41 years Gary, son Chris (Jen), daughter Joanne (Cam), brother Rob (Kathy), sisters-in-law Gail Grant and Gail Rankin, 4 awesome grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family in England and Spain.
Vivienne was born in Newark, England in 1955 and moved to Vancouver Island in 1957. She loved to ski, travel and was very sociable. Her green-thumb was apparent to anyone who visited her gardens as her flower baskets and colour combinations were awe-inspiring. Well, aside from the carrots.
She spent many years in the commercial diving industry with Gary and together they enjoyed many adventures on their sailboat the R.J. Caleb. Vivienne and Gary travelled all over the world and in recent years they spent their time playing in the dirt at their farm in Black Creek. Viv was happiest hosting dinner parties, cooking and laughing with her loved ones.
Special thanks to her soul-sister, Lynn, for the love, support and help over the past few weeks.
To Dr. Farias and the nurses of the cancer clinic; thank you for your compassion and empathy. Your level of care was exemplary.
Flowers are graciously declined as Viv has asked for donations to be made to:
