It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Warren Lyle Mead on March 30, 2021 with his loving wife Yvonne by his side. He was a dedicated father and grandfather who was enormously proud of his children & grandchildren & he cared deeply about the well-being of his family.
Warren was a hard-working man & was well liked and respected by his co-workers & friends.
Warren at age 57 is survived by his wife Yvonne, his children Wren (Taylor) Moran, Demi (Garron) Porter, Cole (Haley) Moran, Forrest Mead & Grayson Mead. Warren will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Lillie, Maisie, Cannon & Totem.
In addition, Warren is survived by his mother Marlene Mead of Trenton, Ont. (predeceased by his father Walter Mead), brother Darcy (Lany) Mead of Sydney, BC & niece Danielle, sister Shelly (Greig) Miller of Sterling, Ont. & nieces Rylan & Kiera.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the following: The North Island Hospital Comox Valley emergency doctors and nurses; the air ambulance flight crew and clinical staff who transported him to RJH in Victoria; the entire staff who did everything possible to save his life & to care for him at the CCU at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, Julie, Jason, Kelly & the entire White Spot Staff who showed the utmost care & love for not only Warren but for his entire family; all of those who sent kind words, flowers & donations to the Go Fund Me & The Comox Valley Principals & Vice Principals Assistant, your generosity is overwhelming.
We are so thankful that through the BC organ donation service Warren was able to save 4 others with his generous donation during this extremely difficult time.
May he rest in love & peace.
