July 13, 1937 - June 8, 2015

Wayne was born in Red Deer, Alberta on July 13, 1937 and passed away June 8, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

He was raised on a farm, and farm life instilled a strong work ethic, which he carried with him all his life. He was in construction and for a short time, he owned a small electronic company. He made the best damn crab traps ever, grew many big red tomatoes to come out of our greenhouse on Prairie St. in Port Coquitlam. He took his love of gardening to Comox in 2000. We continued to paint and renovate our home right to the end. Wayne was much loved by his wife Helen, who always had another project in the making for Wayne. They loved to travel and had many wonderful times on their trips to Hawaii and Bali.

He was predeceased by his daughters Jackie and Wanda, father Glen, mother Elsie and brother Dan.

Wayne will be sadly missed and forever loved by his wife Helen, daughters Terry, Tami (Mike), son Ray (Dale), step-children Warren, Tracy (Mike), Brenda (Rick), Bridget, Derrick (Sue), 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his brothers Bill (Marg), Doug (Dianne), Malvin (Tracy), sister Sharon and extended family.

A special thanks goes out to Andy and Donna for always being there. There will be no service by request.
