Wendy Welsh, beloved wife of Gordon Welsh of Royston B.C. passed away on November 5, 2016 surrounded by those who loved her most. Along with her husband Gord, she leaves behind her children Lynne (Stan) Armstrong, Richard (Shannon) Bean, Kathy (Dan) Heidlebach and Michael (Mary) Welsh, her brother Dave Shiell, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and great-nieces and nephews.

Wendy was born on November 4, 1943 in Cranbrook B.C. to Richard and Doris Shiell. As a young woman, she met, married and had 2 children with Henry Bean of Fernie, B.C. She dedicated her early years to raising and nurturing her children. It was through her job that she arrived in Courtenay where she met the love of her life - Gordon Welsh. Together they created a life desired by many, achieved by few. With mutual respect and great love they built a little paradise that she cherished. Her greatest joy was just being home and being with her very good friends and family.
