SLEETH, Wilbert (Bert) Hartley
Born in Montreal, Quebec on July 26, 1921; passed away with loved ones attentively at his side on March 7th, 2010.
Predeceased by his sister Elizabeth, Bert is survived by his wife Fran; brother Robert; 2 sons Doug and Andy; 2 daughters Dawn and Alison; step-children Julie, Myra, Bradley and Jennifer; and 13 grandchildren.
A Petty Officer in the Canadian Navy during the Second World War; Bert shared his love of the sea, navigation and travel with us all. An avid gardener, walking into his yard, you would find Bert, his flowers and his dogs.
Funeral services will be held at Comox Valley Funeral Home at 1101 Ryan Road in Courtenay on Saturday March 13th at 2 o'clock.
