1913 – 2007

Bill passed away peacefully in his sleep November 11, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, to join his wife of 68 years.

Bill and Jean lived at their Little River home, proud and independent, well into their 90’s, both self-sufficient until the last few heartbeats of their long lives.

An enthusiastic fisherman, Bill convinced Jean to purchase the King Coho Resort in 1960. together, using their children as indentured labour, Bill and Jean developed the resort over many years.

The couple were a perfect business match; Jean nurtured the guests, and Bill abused hapless tourist fishers.

They will be both missed by the Little River Community, their four children, (Penny, Tom, Pat, Terri) and a considerable school of grand and great-grandchildren.

Bill has joined Jean on her iceberg. Tight lines Codge!

There will be a celebration to remember Bill at the Valley Vista Clubhouse, 4714 Muir Road, Courtenay. All friends and neighbours are welcome to join us on December 1st at 12:00. RSVP Pat Anderson 334-9370.
