William "Mo" Holman

May 6, 1931 - July 11, 2009

Passed away peacefully at home in his sleep. He was predeceased by his mother Gerda and father Reginald. Mo is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley Irene, his son Doug (Kathryn) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, his daughter Cindy Todaro of Cold Lake, Alberta; grandchildren: Dean Emmanouil, Chris Emmanouil, Leah Todaro, Evan Morrison, and Caitlin Todaro; great-grandchildren: Justin, Nicole, Andrew, Ryan, Scott and Kaydon; as well as his sister Ellen (Dave) McLeod of Florida; and nieces and nephews Gord Brown, Callie Johnson and Phil Gauthier.

Mo enlisted in the RCAF/CF in 1949 and served until 1985. He worked as an Air Frame technician during his years in the military and after at NDT and AERE. During his years of service he received many certificates and awards for his professionalism. On retirement he joined the Air Force Wing and became a long time member and supporter.

Mo loved to fish, hunt and golf. He also loved to travel with his wife Shirley and visit their many friends. He was always busy fixing and helping others undertaking small projects and utilizing his love of working with tools.

A service celebrating Mo's life will take place on Wednesday, July 15th, 2009, at 1:00 PM from 888 WING, COMOX. For those who wish, donations in Mo’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, # 102 – 1509 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, BC V9N 2K6 or charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
