January 3, 1930 – August 24, 2016

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow and sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Wilmer John “Jack” Morrison on August 24, 2016. Jack was the beloved husband and best friend of his wife of 67 years, Joan Morrison, who was at his side when he passed. Jack was born in Cumberland B.C. on January 3, 1930, to William “Scotty” and Mary Morrison. Jack was an extremely hard worker and always provided well for his family. He started his working life in logging, moved to coal mining, and then joined the Canadian Army for his main career. He followed that up and finished his working life with the Comox School Board as a Custodian. Jack was an avid reader, coin collector, stamp collector, and loved his crib and dart games. Jack also loved snow birding with Joan to Arizona in the winter months. Jack is survived by his loving wife Joan, Sons, Rick, Chris, and Dan, daughter Denise, Grandchildren, Sherry, Corrie, Sandy, Doug, Adrian, Shaun, Sarah, Chantal, and Brandon, as well as 10 Great Grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Jack was a great gentleman, very kind, and was loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.
