CLAPHAM - Winifred Rose (nee: Troughton) was born in London, England on April 30, 1918 and passed away peacefully at Glacier View Lodge on August 8, 2007 at the age of 89.
After her husband’s death in England, Wini settled in Canada with her young daughter. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Judith McBride; granddaughter, Chelsea McBride; step-daughter, Carol Anderson; nieces: Lynne and Susan in England, Pat in California and nephews in Victoria; as well as many “bingo” friends in the Comox Valley. Wini was predeceased by her first husband, Len Clapham and her second husband, Nolan Lowe.
Grateful thanks to her dedicated doctor, Dr. Susan Hunter and to the staff of Glacier View Lodge for making her life so full and happy.
