July 19, 1939 Ramsay died peacefully at home after an 8 year battle with Prostate Cancer. Born in Nottingham England he emigrated to Canada in 1967 as a young married man. After taking courses in wood structure in England he continued on that path and became a successful lumber trader travelling throughout North America, Europe and China. He retired in 1999 and moved to the Sunshine Coast. For Ramsay golf was always a passion, playing abroad, and as a member of Capilano in West Vancouver, then Sechelt and lastly at Crown Isle in Courtenay. Sports were his passion, cricket, tennis, golf, biking to name a few. If he was nor playing it he was watching it. Ramsay had a playful sense of humour, and cut a swath on the dance floor. Breakfast was a priority with sausages always the choice. He was a kind and generous partner and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Sarah Wildman, her husband Michael Wildman and grandchildren Carlie and Liam.
