Yvonne passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning at Royal Jubilee Hospital where she had been for the last six weeks. Her two year struggle with breast cancer was finally over.
Yvonne leaves behind her husband Erik three children Roderick, Gregory and Liska their spouses Jo-Anne, Anne and Jeffery. She treasured each of her six grandchildren Courtney, Brendan, Alexander, Alysha, Zara and Keira. Two older brothers Jack, David and a sister-in-law Ruth.
During her lifetime Yvonne had many jobs in the early day’s office jobs but later she found that her true gift was selling whether it was jewelry or houses but most of all she was a stay at home mother when the children needed her. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and acquaintances. There will be no formal funeral and her ashes will be spread at the spit where she often walked early in the morning enjoying the look of the sea and the mountains. Whenever an eagle flew over she took that as a special good omen for the day. May she rest in peace.
