Of Courtenay passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her bedside after a long battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her parents Marcel and Maureen DeRycke; brothers: Rob and Mike DeRycke; sisters: Laurie (Dale) and Marcy (Walt); children: Steven (Chelane), Marny (Jake), Wayne (Brandy), Stacey (Grant); and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
We all send a special thanks to Dr. Nielsen, Dr. Tancon and Dr. Barker for the great support and care for Yvonne.
A very special thanks to her brother Rob for being with her night and day.
Also thank you to the home nursing staff, home care support workers, thanks to Ruth for her hospice care, and thanks to Yvonne’s special friends Judy, Denise, Bev and Vi, with a special thank you to Lance Reese and the many people who showed their support.
Funeral Service will be held from the CHAPEL OF COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD, on Thursday, February 13th at 1:00 PM with interment in the Cumberland Municipal Cemetery and immediately following interment a reception at the Cumberland O.A.P. Hall.
