Dear editor,
A map of the proposal for redistribution of federal electoral boundaries has been published and delivered.
It appears that the appointees to the commission, assisted by federal bureaucrats who have likely never seen the Valley, wish to tear its heart out.
To divide this community along the Courtenay part of Comox Road and the Old highway makes no sense.
There will be a hearing at Crown Isle on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
I urge residents to go to the website www.federal-redistribution.ca and record your desire to appear and make a submission in opposition to this ridiculous proposal as it stands.
