Dear editor,After reading the Comox Valley Record and reading the article presented by Barbara Price, which is concerning the Cultural Centre being a welcome idea for Comox, it is not the first time that that proposal has been presented.So Barbara Price’s proposal is not new.Five or six years ago, a similar PowerPoint proposal was presented to the Town of Comox council by Shirley McLoughlin, who was the past chairperson of the Comox Archives and Museum at that time.The council at that time was more interested in receiving rent for their property. So, this proposal was filed.The idea of a Comox Archives and Museum Cultural Centre is very good and our community would benefit.John Marinus,Comox
