HAVE YOUR SAY: Wayne Procter revives Black Creek Diner

We would like to thank Wayne Procter for putting the heart back into Black Creek! After a four-year absence, the Black Creek Diner is back.

We would like to thank Wayne Procter for putting the heart back into Black Creek! After a four-year absence, the Black Creek Diner is back. Wayne hired a culinary chef from Halifax and his wife. Not only are they a great team but the food is reasonably priced and very good. They use local organic produce and we are regulars both for breakfast and dinner.

Two weeks ago, at the conclusion of the strike action by Canada Post, I sent a 10-by-7.5-inch envelope to the government. It contained one sheet of paper. Two weeks later — it is returned to me with a 'Return to Sender' stamp. Reason? "Insufficient postage."

Amount short — seven cents! And we wonder why Canada Post is in trouble? On second thoughts, maybe because it is in trouble is the reason they were so small-minded? Now, if I still want to send it, they double their income off me! My homeland of Britain has many problems, like anywhere else, but I know for a fact, the Royal Mail would never have acted so stingily — never. What is happening with these massive corporations and companies? Maybe Gran's old saying still proves true — "too big for your shoes."

Bouquets of fragrant flowers to the nice ladies who helped my husband in Aspen Park with his scooter. His pride is a little hurt, but he's OK. Thanks, ladies.
