Let's combine federal election and HST referendum

Dear editor, Since we are facing an unnecessary election and an HST referendum, I am challenging the federal government and the B.C. government to use their heads and save us (the taxpayers) several million dollars by combining these two exercises into one.

Since we are facing an unnecessary election and an HST referendum, I am challenging the federal government and the B.C. government to use their heads and save us (the taxpayers) several million dollars by combining these two exercises into one.

Don't tell me it can not be easily done. It will also save millions of voters an extra trip to the voting location.

Alternative solution for B.C. government — lower the HST to 10 per cent and that would make the referendum unnecessary, because most people could live with this compromise.
