Dear editor,
After losing my husband this month I have been going over our journey for the past two years with the health care system.
He saw about a dozen physicians and specialists, and saw health care providers in daycare, labs, cancer care centre, emergency, and Unit 3B staff.
Throughout his journey, every person (physicians to RNs, to LPNs, to health care aides) that he/we encountered was professional, caring and compassionate.
Dr. Neufeld, who was his long-time family physician, provided excellent care through to the end.
We are so fortunate to live in Canada where this kind of care is provided. We are lucky to have the Comox Valley Hospital and its staff in our community.
