Dear editor,
We lost our dear friend this past week. She lived at the Hospice at The Views for the last three months of her life. We say lived – not stayed.
She received outstanding care from the team. Not only were her immediate health concerns handled, but her interests were supported and encouraged. Every effort was made to ensure quality of life. And they succeeded. Our friend pursued activities that were meaningful to her up to a few hours before her death. Her friends were always made welcome, and were supported through the process of helping our friend. It often was not easy for any of us, but the staff showed tremendous grace and professionalism at all times. The hospice and their staff are a wonderful asset to our community. We are grateful to them.
