LETTER - Wearing masks indoors is no huge sacrifice

Dear editor,

Masks indoors - wear them!

It’s not rocket science: there is a deadly global pandemic. It is well known that the virus is primarily transmitted via respiratory droplets.

The province may not mandate it (but, why not?).

Out of respect for the workers who are keeping stores and other services open, putting themselves out there every day to allow you to get food and necessities, out of respect for your fellow citizens, for me, please don a mask before going indoors.

It’s not a lot to ask during these trying and dangerous times. It’s just a mask. It’s only when you’re indoors with other people. Not a big ask.

Michael Heydon,

Courtenay
