I received a chemistry certificate from We-Fung College in Jai Yi, Taiwan after studying there from 1983 to 1988.
I have since been employed in health- and wellness-related work environments for many years.
I have currently been employed as a lab technician at Marigold Natural Pharmacy in Courtenay for approximately one year.
Since being employed by Rudy and Maie Sanchez of Marigold Natural Pharmacy, I have found them to be fair and conscientious employers who exercise due diligence and give proper attention to accepted procedure, and excellent standards of cleanliness and record-keeping in their business.
As a lab technician, I am responsible for strictly adhering to a daily activity protocol which involves thorough cleaning, cleansing, sanitizing (with alcohol), and inspection of the equipment and the labs I work in. I consistently wear a hair net and fresh gloves
with each compounding procedure, as well as utilizing a mask and the appropriate safety equipment provided. I am required to reference and follow MSDS and WHMIS resources prior to performing each new compounding procedure. Products used and products produced are carefully stored, labeled and handled according to the MSDS and WHMIS resources. I fully support my employers in their just defence against the invalid claims that have recently been made and published to the contrary. Please refer to the company records (Daily Reports) of my material handling, compounding, cleaning, cleansing, sanitizing and inspection
duties.
I truly hope that this entire matter will be fairly resolved and put to rest very soon for the sake of everyone concerned!
