Way to go Comox Valley! Your enthusiastic response to Kymme’s Benefit Party is why I’m proud to call this my home.
Our pal Kymme is in a tough place, and about three weeks ago a few of us got together to start planning the Kymme Patrick Benefit Party.
It seems our little committee wasn’t alone in appreciating Kymme in our lives. The little party turned into something quite amazing.
Nothing could prepare me for what I walked into at the Legion Hall on the evening of Jan. 29. The place was packed with “friends of Kymme.”
The silent auction tables lined two walls, and were packed with donations. The place was buzzing with people energized by the “trunks up!” attitude that Kymme’s taken.
Thank you to the organizing group, thank you to all the folks and businesses who were so generous with contributions, thank you to the people who provided entertainments — and thank you to everyone who reached into their pockets at this “thin” time of year to make this event such a success.
