Dear editor,
Well, the Fifth Street Bridge was closed again and, again, there was a traffic snarl at the 17th Street Bridge – not too bad this time, since it was a holiday.
I’ve heard talk, [frivolous I hope] about building a covered wooden bridge for the Manitoba homeless to shelter in during the cold winter months but, no further mention of the badly needed traffic bridge at 19th Street.
Of course, if the population shrinks and cars are banned, maybe we won’t need it.
