This weekend you can end your winter "with a spring" by skiing the Loppet.
The Strathcona Nordics invite all cross-country skiers to challenge themselves, their family, and/or their friends to a good day's ski in the 29th annual Vancouver Island Loppet. On Saturday, March 26 you can join 100-plus cross-country skiers of all ages in a fun, long distance ski event. There will be loads of prizes for oldest, youngest, best dressed, and more.
The fun will begin with a mass start in the Mount Washington Nordic stadium. Distances will vary according to Loppet categories.
Registration is open on Zone4.ca. Don't delay, online registration ends March 24 at 11:59 p.m.
