Thirteen-year-old Dakota Sanzana of Comox won two gold medals Oct. 19 at the 2019 Abbotsford International Judo Championships.
Dakota won the Under 16, -48 kg age division and the U18, -48 class.
She is off to Cuba for some training, under the watchful eye of former Olympic team coach Ronaldo Veitia. She then competes at the Ontario Open, Nov. 9 in Toronto.
