Comox Valley Curling Club hosts annual pulpspiel

For the first time in its history, the Pulp and Paper Curling Bonspiel came to Vancouver Island. The Comox Valley Curling Club hosted the 46th annual event, which is primarily for pulp and paper industry workers, March 7-10.

The defending champion — the Huber rink from Hinton, Alta. — was among the 16 teams at the tournament.

The winners are as follows:

Connatty rink from Kamloops, A event;

Tanguay rink from Courtenay, B event;

Whittaker rink from Peace River, C event;

Verchere rink from Port Alice, D event.
