Comox Valley Kickers launch new season

Men's and women's senior teams in action this weekend at Cumberland Village Park

The Comox Valley Kickers Rugby Football Club kicks off their new season this weekend.

The senior women play Saturday, Sept. 13 against Velox Valhallians at 11:30 a.m. at Village Park in Cumberland, and the senior men play Sunday, Sept. 14 at Village Park against Velox with game time TBA.

On Sept. 20 both senior teams are away at Cowichan, on Sept. 27 both the men and women are home hosting Nanaimo and on Oct. 4-5 there are tournaments in Cowichan.

“The rest of the fall season schedule has not been confirmed yet,” said Kickers’ spokesperson Aimee Burley.

The Kickers U18 women and U18 men kick off Sunday, Sept, 14 in Shawnigan Lake with a 7s tourney. The schedule for the rest of the season has not been released.

“The Minis will begin playing Sept. 21, and the schedule has not been released yet either for that, but we are possibly hosting a jamboree to kick off the season that day,” Burley added.
