The Comox Valley Road Runners continued their winter running by participating in the 25th anniversary of the Miracle Beach 10k and 5k run on Oct. 19. There was also a kids run and the CVRR was happy to see our younger runners from Kids Run4Fun Program out with their families.

Derek Vinge was the overall 10K race winner with a time of 34:17. Roger Plamondon finished in 40:19 and Keith Wakelin 40:38.

Steven Royer, who has run in every Miracle Beach race, was 12th across the line at 42:33. Liz Royer finished in 45:17 and Angela Plamondon in 48:24, putting her first for her division.

Kindle Parsons ran a slow and steady 53:12, Sam Knowles ran 55:29 putting him in first place for his division. Tom Munro 1:12:57 and came in first for his age group as well.
