Club posts impressive results at 25th annual Miracle Beach run

The Comox Valley Road Runners continued their winter running by participating in the 25th anniversary of the Miracle Beach 10k and 5k run on Oct. 19. There was also a kids run and the CVRR was happy to see our younger runners from Kids Run4Fun Program out with their families.

Derek Vinge was the overall 10K race winner with a time of 34:17. Roger Plamondon finished in 40:19 and Keith Wakelin 40:38.

Steven Royer, who has run in every Miracle Beach race, was 12th across the line at 42:33. Liz Royer finished in 45:17 and Angela Plamondon in 48:24, putting her first for her division.

Kindle Parsons ran a slow and steady 53:12, Sam Knowles ran 55:29 putting him in first place for his division. Tom Munro 1:12:57 and came in first for his age group as well.

For the 5K race we had Jamie Kantor finishing first for his group in 23:47. One of our newer runners, Amber Gentles, ran her first race in 29:57.
