The Comox Valley Squash Club has spots available for new players to join its league.

If interested in playing a fast-paced game that builds cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility, squash might be for you. There is also an element of strategy as players try to out-think their opponent while under pressure. Most importantly it’s a great time.

Every Wednesday night, starting Oct. 3, the CVSC will hold its league night at the Lewis Centre. Players will be part of a team and play according to a set schedule that matches them against equally skilled players. It’s a fun night where participants get some intense exercise, socialize and cheer each other on. All levels of play are welcome. Beginners are particularly encouraged.

The upcoming season promises to be entertaining. There will be in-club tournaments, and a larger invitational tournament in February with players from other clubs on the Island.

Come and join us.
