Comox Valley United alone in third place in VISL Div. 1

Men's soccer side hosts second-place Bays United this Saturday at turf field

Comox Valley United grabbed sole possession of third place in Div. 1 of the Vancouver Island Soccer League by defeating Lakehill FC 2-1 on Nov. 7 in Victoria.

Tom Butcher and Grayson Chalifoux scored for United, with Chalifoux’s fourth goal of the season tying Kyle Bate for the team lead. Butcher was Comox MVP while Riley was Comox Rookie.


The win improved the local men’s soccer side’s record to 5-2-2. They are just two points back of second place Bays United, who they host this Saturday in a 6 p.m. start at Comox Valley Turf.
