Comox Valley United men's soccer is looking forward to the 2011-12 Vancouver Island Soccer League season.

They are hoping to put two teams into the league again (Div. 3 and Div. 4) and rely heavily on player commitment to make this happen, a team spokesperson said.

"If you want to play this year make sure you attend the tryout/practices or let us know you are interested but can't make a session because of holiday or otherwise. Don't assume we will have enough players for two teams, please make your intentions known."

Training sessions have been arranged for the following dates (all start times are 7 p.m.):

Tuesday, Aug. 9 - Mark Isfeld; Thursday, Aug. 11 - Woodcote; Tuesday, Aug. 16 - Mark Isfeld; Thursday, Aug. 18 - Woodcote; Tuesday, Aug. 23 - Mark Isfeld; Thursday, Aug. 25 - Woodcote; Tuesday, Aug. 30 - Mark Isfeld;

Thursday, Sept. 1 - Woodcote.

"These sessions are open to anyone who is interested and we definitely promote and welcome new faces," the team spokesperson said.

"A couple of exhibition games will be mixed in there as well. More info to follow at the first set of sessions. If you need more info or have any questions either show up at a session or e-mail mike.letsos@gmail.com or soccercoach12@shaw.ca."
