Courtenay junior girls team wins third Island cross-country title

For the third consecutive time, the junior girls team at Mark Isfeld Secondary won their division at the Vancouver Island High School Cross-Country Championships, Oct. 20 at Beaver Lake Park in Victoria.

For the third consecutive time, the junior girls team at Mark Isfeld Secondary won their division at the Vancouver Island High School Cross-Country Championships, Oct. 20 at Beaver Lake Park in Victoria.

The team includes Carly Ram, Sarah Roberts, Julia Revenburg, Annabelle Whitehead, Nadia Macluskie, Sophia Priestman, Ava Minler and Quinn Hoar. Ram and Roberts finished fourth and 11th overall at the competition.

The girls qualified to compete at the provincial championships, Nov. 6 at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver.

Rory Bratrud, a junior age boy at Isfeld, also qualified for the B.C. competition.
