Darts fly at Comox Legion

Good competition in mixed open doubles shoot tournament

 

 

 

The Comox Legion Mixed Open Doubles Darts Shoot was held Saturday, Sept. 21.

First place went to Art Forbes and Milly Davis who were victorious over Shane Dennis and Janet Litchfield, winning 3-1 in a best-of-five final. Third place went to Laurie and Margaret Bull by edging out Bill and Brenda Durant 2-1 in the runners-up best-of-three final.

High score for the men was Hap Hanson who was just shy of a 170 out by hitting single bull for a total of 145. The ladies high went to Brenda Durant with a 136.

High out for the men went to Ernie Linden with a 103, while Carol Merkley took the ladies high out.

Congratulations to the above and thanks to all others that participated.

Next up at the Comox Legion is the branch playoffs on Nov. 22-24 followed by an open Turkey Shoot on Nov. 30.
