Dylan Slater won this year's Junior North Island, held July 28 at the Comox Golf Club.
A well-played low gross 73 gave him a three-shot victory over his brother Tyson Slater and Matt Irvine, who both shot respectable 76s.
Brett Woods took the low net title with a 62, three shots better than runner-up Adam Dunn.
Junior North Island organizers thanked Westview Ford for their support, the Comox Men's Club for the continued efforts to help raise money, and the Ladies Club for their contributions.
In other news, Bakkham Willis is the 2014 low gross champion for the Comox Junior Club Championship, held in conjunction with the Junior North Island.
After calming his nerves Willis shot 83. Dunn won the net side of the event.
