Habs Alumni stuck in Powell River this morning

Sunday fundraising hockey game might start a little later than 2 p.m.

The Mayor's Cup fundraising hockey game might start a little later than it's planned 2 p.m. face-off today at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.

The Montreal Canadiens Alumni, who are taking on the Hab-Nots in the game, were stuck in Powell River when the 8:10 a.m. BC Ferry sailing was cancelled due to weather. Reports indicate the 10 a.m. ferry from Comox to Powelll River left on time.

The next ferry from Powell River is scheduled to leave at 11:50 a.m., and if the 90-minute crossing goes as planned, the Habs would be in Comox at 1:20 p.m.
