The Comox Valley Hope Afloat Dragon Boat Team paddled to take first place in the Women’s Division at the 2014 West Coast Dragon Boat Society’s Sproat Lake Challenge.
Nine women’s teams and nine mixed teams took part in the all-day event on Sunday, Sept. 21. This brings Hope Afloat’s racing season to a very successful conclusion. Our new season will begin in the spring and we encourage women who have had any type of cancer to come out and try the sport of dragon boating.
