Isfeld senior boys basketball team loses to B.C. number six Ladysmith

The Isfeld senior boys basketball team lost 101-77 to the Ladysmith 49ers in a road game, Jan. 20. Ladysmith is ranked number six among triple-A high school basketball teams in B.C.

Temwa Mtawali scored 37 points and Quinn Roberts had 12 points for the Ice.

Isfeld had to cancel Sunday’s exhibition game against Vanier due to a lack of healthy players.

“It has been a difficult year with injuries as our big man Ryan (Ball) has been out since the new year and rest of the year,” senior boys coach Dikran Zabunyan said. “But we continue to play hard.”

The team’s record is 12 – 6.

Isfeld plays Timberline at home in a league game, Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.
