The Comox Valley Exhibition and the Comox Valley Road Runners invite kids to join them for the fourth annual Track n’ Trail Kids’ Fun Run.

“This exciting, one-of-a-kind running event is a great way to introduce your kids to the adventure of trail running,” an event spokesperson said. Catering to kids of all ages, this run has three different age categories and three different distances. The Marshmallows (0-5) run on the Exhibition’s 500m horse track. The Chicklets (6-9) run a 1km loop through the nearby wooded trails and the Truffles (10 and up) run a 1.5km loop also in the trails and along the river.

“Come out and make some family memories at our run. There is nothing like watching your kids in their first running event or seeing how they have progressed from past years. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 25.”

Day-of registration is from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Dove Creek entrance to the Comox Valley fairgrounds. Race start is 10 a.m. and awards are at 11 a.m.

“Thanks to CVEX, CVRR, Comox Valley RV, Let’s Go! Personal Training, and Ambassador Shuttle Service for making this event what it is today,” the event spokesperson said.

“For more information on the CVEX Track n’ Trail Kids’ Fun Run go to www.cvex.ca or find us in the CVEX “Boots, Barns & Bandanas” Entry Book. Hope to see you there!”
