Real deal
The first round of the Komoux Masters Real Baseball League playoffs go Sunday, Aug. 26 at Highland Field #3 in Comox.
Leading off at 9 a.m. is the Williams Construction Nationals against Happy's Source for Sports Indians. At 12:30 p.m. the Brian McLean Yankees take on the Dundee Giants, then at 4:30 p.m. the Investors Group Astros meet the Courtenay Plumbing Twins.
Admission is free, but KMRBL organizers note seating is limited. "Get there early!" is their advice to ball fans.
Slo-pitch
The 19th annual Courtenay Legion Bob Pearce Memorial Senior Slo-Pitch Tournament will be held Sept. 1-3 at Lewis Park.
Ball fans are invited to come out to the park and enjoy the action.
Dart time
It's dart season again.
The Comox Legion's Monday Night Men's League gets underway on Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a meet and greet on Sept, 10 at 7 p.m.
Sign-up sheets will be at the bar entrance and Navy room. New players are welcome, open to members and non-members are welcome.
