Courtenay Lawn Bowling is off to a really good start yet again this season.

At the Qualicum Challenge 4s on May 12-13,  Dan and Gaynor Bereza with Pete Harding and Pat Norrad claimed the trophy with four games won and 35 ends.  Awesome start to the season for a new skip – congratulations!

In second place was Daryl Chapman of Qualicum with four wins and 29 ends won, third Bill Roos of Nanaimo with three wins, 4th Martin Ferredy of Parksville with three wins, and 5th Bill Davenport of Qualicum with three wins.  Vern Greenhill and April Gilchrist with Rick Quibell and Mary Mulligan (last week’s winners) were also in attendance.

Everyone will be busy readying the green and clubhouse for the Anderton Nursery Triples this weekend (May 19-20). This is our first Open event of the year and we will have a full house of 32 teams.

We had 16 new members sign up and we will always welcome more interested participants. Leave a message on the clubhouse phone  250-338-8222 for more information.
