Mariners, Slammers leading the way in men’s slo-pitch

Both teams remain undefeated at halfway point of the season

Just a little more than half way through the season of Comox Valley Men’s Slo-Pitch, the Mariners seem to be running away with first place in Tier 1.

The M’s won their seventh straight game without a loss last week as they knocked off Applesauced 17-9. Woody’s overcame a huge defecit, rallying to beat the Heaters 19-12.  The Watson & Ash Grabbers throttled the Grinders 21-5.

The Seeco Slammers are doing the same thing in Tier 2 as the Mariners in Tier 1 as they ran their record to a perfect 6-0 last week. Jeff Baulne banged out two homers and went 5-5 while Pat Olsen also went 5-5 as the Slammers hammered the Cruisers 24-3.

Coco Loco’s crushed the Misfits 25-4. The Misfits also were on the losing end 15-5 to the Steamers while the Ballers outlasted the Holdups 18-12.
