A world-renowned, master martial artist is coming to Courtenay to lead a spring seminar.
The esteemed Tamayose Hidemi Sensei is a 10th degree black belt in Ryukyu Kobudo Tesshinkan — a style of Okinawan weapons.
“It’s an honour to get him here,” said Holly Molgaard-Tuttle of the Courtenay Shotokan Karate-Do.
The club hosts the seminar May 10-12 at the Filberg Centre.
The training schedule runs from 2-6 p.m. on the Friday, 9-6 p.m. on the Saturday and 9-1 p.m. on the Sunday.
The public is welcome to watch the sessions.
