CFL Hall of Famer and TSN CFL football analyst Matt Dunigan is the guest speaker at G.P. Vanier's 26th annual athletic banquet on June 6.
Vanier basketball coach Larry Street notes Dunigan is also golfing at Crown Isle Golf Resort, and would like six locals to join him. "He will play nine holes with both groups, everyone getting in 18 holes, and then some lunch with Matt," Street said.
The highest silent auction bids will win the opportunity to golf Tuesday morning, 7:30 a.m. on June 5. Two carts are being made available for the golfers as well.
All proceeds will cover the golf and lunch, and then be donated to G.P. Vanier Athletics.
Beginning bids must start at $60 and can be e-mailed to joelle.hamilton@sd71.bc.ca. Deadline for bidding is noon Friday, June 1. The winner will be contacted at the end of the auction.
